Lors de l’émission du “Vet-Errant” le 27 novembre 2022, nous recevrons le Commandant Robert Piché qui viendra nous raconter l’événement du 24 août 2001 alors qu’il était aux commandes du vol 236 de Air Transat.

Tous se souviendront que le commandant Robert Piché, aidé de son copilote Dirk de Jager, a réussi à poser l’appareil sur une piste d’atterrissage aux Açores avec les deux moteurs arrêtés et après un vol plané de 19 minutes pour une distance de 120 km. Les 293 passagers et 13 membres d’équipage ont été sauvés, seuls 18 d’entre eux ont été légèrement blessés lors de l’évacuation d’urgence.
